Palmetto Boys State
Giving Back Through Production
One of the ways we give back. Each June we lead the creative teams behind the week, from the assemblies to a digital yearbook for every delegate, and we manage the websites for the program and its foundation.
One Week That Starts a Life
Palmetto Boys State is The American Legion's week-long program in practical government for rising high school seniors in South Carolina. It has run since 1940, and each June it fills Anderson University with young men who form cities, run for office and pass laws of their own.
Why We're There
Palmetto Boys State is one of the ways Take Part gives back. We serve as the creative and production team for the week, leading teams of creatives who help craft the assemblies and the content the program produces while the delegates are there.
A Yearbook for Every Delegate
Our photographers follow the delegates from the assembly hall to the steps of the State House in Columbia. Their work becomes a digital download yearbook, so every young man leaves with a record of the week he'll remember.

The Websites
We built palmettoboysstate.com, which launched in 2019, and we manage it along with the website for the foundation that supports the program.
