Let the Patients Tell It
The Smile Company is Dr. Jacob's dental implant practice in Greenville, South Carolina, with its own lab on site. The people who walk in are often ready for a fresh start, and the best proof that it works is someone who has already been through it.
So we let patients tell their own stories. We filmed testimonial interviews with real patients, then built a commercial around one of them, following him from his auto shop through treatment.
Planned Like a Film
The commercial started as a storyboard: the patient at work in his shop, the questions we'd ask him, and an A and B camera plan for each scene. We shot interviews on a lit set with two cameras, and followed with treatment-room and lab footage so viewers see the care behind the result.
We delivered a three-minute cut and a shorter edit, along with a set of patient testimonial videos.
